Troy Cassar-Daley elevated to the Roll Of Renown

Troy Cassar Daley has joined the Australasia’s most elite company of country music stars with his elevaion to the Australasian Country Music Roll of Renown in Tamworth tonight.
The huge crowd attending the 45th Toyota Country Music Awards of Australia presentation erupted in excitement when the popular artist was named this years’ selection for the industry’s most prestigious Award.
Since the Roll was inaugurated in 1976 with the naming of legendary pioneer Tex Morton, there have been only 49 other stars selected for the honour and Troy becomes the 50th recipient.
The boy who grew up in Grafton NSW has come a long since he started performing in local venues in the early 1980’s.
Over the years, including tonights Album of the Year Award, he has won 34 Gold Guitars* and a raft of accolades and other awards and has built a following of devoted fans all over the nation.
In making the presentation to Troy, Country Music legend Joy McKean said Troy had captured the hearts of Australians with his wonderful, engaging personality, his dedication to Australia and its people and his formidable skills as a writer and performer. Believing profoundly in community and family, Troy truly embodies the spirit of Australian country music” she said.
