Toyota Park, Tamworth - The Mecca for Country Music Fans in 2019

TOYOTA PARK, TAMWORTH - THE MECCA FOR COUNTRY MUSIC FANS IN 2019

 

Each January, Tamworth’s Bicentennial Park transforms into Toyota Park, the festival’s largest venue for 10 days showcasing over 100 different acts that each provide a small taste of the diversity of styles that only Tamworth can deliver.

With cutting edge audio and visual production facilities and featuring the new Coca-Cola VIP Zone, festival fans will be treated to some of the best artists in country music every night for 10 nights.

With the immortal words from Mayor Col Murray, “Let the music begin” the TOYOTA COUNTRY MUSIC FESTIVAL OPENING CONCERT on Friday 18th January will feature performances from Australia’s best, including Golden Guitar winners, emerging artists, the best of the buskers, Toyota Star Maker winners, and some of the best bands around including Hurricane Fall and the highly entertaining Murphy’s Pigs.

Saturday 19th is a time for the youngsters and young at heart when the TAMWORTH FAMILY SUPPORT SERVICES present their FAMILY CONCERT.

Following in the footsteps of Keith Urban, Lee Kernaghan, Beccy Cole, James Blundell and many others, Sunday 20th marks the 40th staging of the TOYOTA STAR MAKER GRAND FINAL which will launch the best emerging artist into the spotlight. Also featuring a gala performance by current Toyota Star Maker winner Brad Cox.

Monday 21st is a must if you want to witness the fastest growing sub-genre of country music with AMERICANA IN THE PARK featuring established, award winning artists and the brightest stars on the horizon. Hosted by Lachlan Bryan and featuring the talents of Golden Guitar winner Kristy Cox, rising star Megan Cooper, Rose Zita Falko, exciting new duo Montgomery Church with an international influence from Hannah Aldridge.

Coinciding with official Sister City visits from Gore (NZ) and Nashville (USA) Tuesday 22nd will see both these countries well represented on the INTERNATIONAL SHOWCASE and joined by the Best of the British country scene.

Wednesday, 23rd will see a Guinness World Records Worlds BIGGEST Bush Dance Attemptby Simply Bushed in the morning, followed by the very popular and massive BACK TO THE BUSH SPECTACULAR that evening, featuring more than 40 Bush Balladeers, including Jeff Brown, Dean Perrett, Anne Kirkpatrick, Lindsay Butler, Dianne Lindsay, Brian Letton, David Kirkpatrick and Shaza Leigh. 

If you like it loud, and you like it live then keep Thursday 24th clear for the LIVE & LOUD CONCERT featuring some of the best, emerging and established modern country artists including Jasmine Rae, Melanie Dyer, Tori Darke, Jade Holland, Brooke Schubert, Bryce Sainty, Matt James and Juliet Oliver plus a few surprise guests.

On Friday 25th Toyota presents TRAVIS COLLINS and friends celebrating Travis’ recent Awards success with a total of six Golden Guitar Awards, and four CMC Awards.

Saturday 26th,the AUSTRALIA DAY TAMWORTH PROUD FAMILY CONCERT is the place to sit back and relax to some great entertainment from Tamworth’s best plus spectacular fireworks at 9.00pm.

The final event for Toyota Park on Sunday 27th is the TOYOTA BEST OF THE BUSKERS where the TOP TEN performances selected by the judges battle it out to be named as 2019 TOYOTA BEST OF THE BUSKERS.

Toyota Country Music Festival Manager, Mr Barry Harley said: “we are excited to announce the line-up for Toyota Park for 2019 as well as some new additions to the Toyota Country Music Festival with the Coca-Cola VIP Zone and Guinness World Record attempt, offering fans wider variety and enhancing their overall festival experience.”
