Sara Storer inducted to the Galaxy of Stars in Tamworth

Much loved country music singer songwriter Sara Storer has today been inducted to the 2017 Galaxy of Stars in Tamworth. The announcement was made on the Fanzone Stage in the heart of the Toyota Country Music Festival, Tamworth.
Storer has 19 Golden Guitar Awards under her belt and is well known for her ability to capture the essence of Australian life, its characters and distinctive landscape.
Described by John Williamson as having a “unique way of seeing and expressing her observations of love and life in the bush. So she is a songwriter that will be remembered beyond her lifetime.”
Tamworth Region Mayor Col Murray presented Storer with the accolade, commending her work in the country music industry.
“This award is great recognition of the talent that Sara Storer brings to the country music industry. I’m thrilled to be able to acknowledge her long time commitment to telling stories about our great nation.”
Storer first visited the Festival in 2000 when she attended the then Country Music College. Tomorrow night, Storer will attend the pinnacle event of the Festival, the Country Music Awards of Australia – Toyota Golden Guitars. She is nominated in six categories including FEMALE ARTIST OF THE YEAR and BUSH BALLAD OF THE YEAR.
