The ‘Queen Quest’ as it is commonly known, has played a key role in the development of young Tamworth women since 1984.

Coordinated by the Zonta Club of Tamworth, entrants are afforded a range of personal and professional development opportunities as part of the judging process including public speaking and etiquette training; confidence coaching; styling, image and grooming tips and media training.

Joining the Quest offers entrants the following benefits:

  • opportunity to meet other local young like-minded women
  • opportunity to meet dignitaries of the City and stars of country music
  • see behind-the-scenes of many TCMF events including the Golden Guitar Awards
  • personal development through this very special experience

Entrants must pre-qualify for participation via a short questionnaire and must each have a sponsor arranged by the time the Quest officially begins.

During the 10 days of the Country Music Festival, entrants will participate in dozens of events and official activities including a formal judging session when our independent panel of judges will look for genuine interest in, and a good working knowledge of, the Tamworth Region

The Quest culminates in a Crowning Gala Dinner, where two young women are crowned Queen and Princess of Country Music. As title holders, the winners will act as official ambassadors for the City throughout the year attending a range of civic and community events.

The 2020 Queen of Country Music also travels to Tamworth’s sister city Gore in New Zealand to represent the region at the 2020 Gore Country Music Festival.
