Golden Gig, Sponsored by Maccas gives young country music artists the opportunity to display their talent and kick start their musical journey.

Macca’s Stage will be located on Kable Avenue (near Toyota Park).

 

Competition Details

Enter the 2024 Golden Gig, Sponsored by Maccas competition providing the opportunity for young country music artists to display their talent and kick start their musical journey.

Entrants will be competing in two age categories with first, second and third place winners being awarded.

Prizes included:

  • Age category – 13 to 17 years

         First place will receive a Scholarship for a Junior Student Course valued at $3,300 with The Academy, an initiative of the County Music Association of             Australia Course, three separate professional mentoring opportunities with an industry leader (approximate length 20 minutes each at a mutually                    agreeable time/format), and an electric-acoustic guitar, a pair of Outback Traders boots, $500 cash plus a $250 voucher from Capitol Music.

         The second place performer will receive $400 cash plus a $250 voucher from Capitol Music.

         The third place performer will receive $100 cash plus a $250 voucher from Capitol Music.

  • Age category – 12 and under
    First place will receive three separate professional mentoring opportunities with an industry leader (approximate length 20 minutes each at a mutually agreeable time/format), an electric-aoustic guitar, $500 cash plus a $250 voucher from Capitol Music.

         The second place performer will receive $400 cash plus a $250 voucher from Capitol Music.

         The third place performer will receive $100 cash plus a $250 voucher from Capitol Music.

 

Entrants will perform throughout the Festival and a panel of judges will select the top performers to play at the grand final where they will compete for the above prizes.
