Grab your spot in the iconic Toyota Country Music Cavalcade, this festival!

02 November 2018

The chance to become part of one of the most iconic events at the 47th Toyota Country Music Festival, Tamworth is here, with applications for the Toyota Country Music Cavalcade opening on Monday 5th November.

Toyota Cavalcade is another exciting opportunity to see some of the country’s biggest performers, with each float required to host an artist for the duration of the parade.  It also offers local business the chance to expose their products and services to the visiting festival-goers by designing colourful and creative floats.

Participants and their accompanied artists will parade through the heart of the festival on Saturday 26 January, aligning with Australia Day festivities.

Mr Barry Harley, Manager of Toyota Country Music Festival Tamworth said: “The Toyota Country Music Cavalcade is such a pinnacle event of the festival. It’s a great opportunity for fans to see some of their favourite performers, for locals to showcase their businesses to the huge crowd that lines the street during festival and for everyone to have a bit of fun while doing it”.

In light of this year’s theme for the Toyota Cavalcade, participants are encouraged to plan their float designs around their celebration of “What it means to be Australian.”

“With the parade taking place on Australia Day, it seems only fitting to incorporate this day into the Toyota Cavalcade Parade. We can’t wait for fans to line the streets, watch the parade and celebrate all the different ways to be Australian,” says Harley.

The sub theme for the 2019 Toyota Cavalcade Parade pays tribute to one of the festival’s longest standing elements, acknowledging “40 years of Star Maker.”

“2019 marks 40 years since Star Maker first came on the country music scene. This is a huge milestone that will be celebrated through the course of the festival,” said Harley.
