We know it sucks that the festival was postponed from January to April due to the dreaded C-word BUT it doesn’t all suck, here are five reasons you should come to Tamworth this April:
1. Autumn weather
It’s the obvious one but instead of the usual steamy January weather, you can enjoy milder days and cooler nights with the average April temperature sitting around 17 degrees celsius – ahh bliss!
2. Take advantage of the public holidays
We’ve done the numbers and discovered that due to the April festival being bookended by public holidays, you would only need to take four leave days to have a huge ELEVEN consecutive days off! What a massive win!
3. It’s a milestone event
We’re celebrating 50 years of this legendary festival in 2022, so what better time to come and experience Tamworth and all our festival has to offer. How good will it be to tell the grandkids that you were at the 50th Toyota Country Music Festival?
4. Perfect camping conditions
We refer to point one, which makes the milder weather the perfect opportunity to fully immerse yourself in the experience and grab a tent! Wallaroo Pre-Pitched Camping have a range of options from full-on glamping to basic camping which means you can just rock up and everything you need is there including add-ons like power, air conditioning and even breakfast! It’s located just a short walk from all the CBD action and at affordable prices.
5. A quieter time of year
While January is awesome, sometimes it can be a little hectic coming off the back of the Christmas and New Year period. April gives you plenty of time to save your pennies and be organised to have the best week of your life in Tamworth!
So while we love a January festival and can’t wait to get back to normal next year, try something different in 2022 and join us in April for an equally as awesome time including the artists and events you have come to know and love! There’s a tonne of reasons why you should!
Put it in the diary – 18 to 24 April, 2022 and we’ll see you there!
