Legendary Tamworth entertainer Dennis Parker received his nickname of Fibber from the late, great Stan Coster. Originally from Broome, WA, Fibber and his beautiful wife, Gaye live at Burpengary QLD on their rural acreage. He’s performed at 51 Tamworth festivals, a rare feat for any artist. He’s an award-winning entertainer, comedian, singer and songwriter. He’s a qualified auctioneer, valuer and loss assessor. These days he loves to donate his time and talents to a variety of great causes – in recent years has raised an enormous amount at his annual charity concert for Ronald McDonald House with The Pub Group in Tamworth. When he’s not raising money, Fibber hosts his famous Ave-A-Go Show at various venues around the Country Music Capital. Over the years he’s given hundreds of artists the chance to take the stage and work with a professional band. Many have gone on to greater things, including winning major awards in the industry and they never forget the bloke who gave them a break early in their career. He’s been inducted into the Hands of Fame, Noses of Fame, the Dreamtime Award, the Dusty Boot Award and a recent ICMA Award.
