Adam Brand & Amber Lawrence announced as the presenters for the 2019 Toyota Golden Guitar Awards

19 December 2018

Tamworth Regional Council and the Country Music Association of Australia (CMAA) are thrilled to announce the official hosts for the biggest event in the Australian country music calendar, the Toyota Golden Guitar Awards.

Adam Brand and Amber Lawrence will take to the stage at Tamworth Regional Entertainment and Conference Centre (TRECC) on Saturday 26 of January, during the annual Toyota Country Music Festival, to host the prestigious music awards and celebrate the industry’s successes.

Adam Brand is a household name in Australian country music, having more than 20 years of experience within the industry. Brand has sold over 600,000 albums and has several accolades to his name, including 12 Golden Guitars. Brand has recently released his new single ‘If Heaven has a Soundtrack’ and is in the midst of his Milestones tour, which includes a performance in Tamworth on January 25.

“I am honoured to be hosting the Awards this year. It’s 20 years since I went to my first ever Golden Guitar Awards night. I could never have imagined then that I would one day be asked to stand up there as a host...just wow!!!” said Brand.

Amber Lawrence kick-started her country music career in 2008, and his since soared to becoming one of the most renowned artists in Australia. In 2015, she was awarded her first Golden Guitar Award for Female Artist of The Year, the first of many prestigious awards for the fan favourite. Lawrence will also be performing in Tamworth during the festival on January 25.

“It’s really exciting to be hosting the awards with Adam Brand. I’ve been lucky enough to sing at and win a couple of Golden Guitars over the years, so now to be asked to host them is a pretty cool honour! I hope to bring a little sparkle, fashion and my own sense of humour to the night,” said Lawrence.

“We are over the moon about having Adam and Amber as the hosts for the 2019 Toyota Golden Guitar Awards,” said Toyota Golden Guitar Awards Executive Producer, Peter Ross.

“Both these artists are renowned within the industry, are previous Golden Guitar recipients and always up for a good time. We couldn’t ask for a better duo to stand up on that stage, acknowledge the dedication of all artists involved in the awards and help us celebrate another fantastic year in country music,” added Ross.

The nominees for the 2019 Toyota Golden Guitar Awards were announced last month at an exclusive event held at ABC’s Sydney Studios, and provided just a snippet of the excitement that is to come at the Awards in January.
