<p>Events like the Tamworth Country Music Festival provide a great opportunity to increase community participation for people with disability and benchmark best practice in accessibility and inclusion. Accessible events remove barriers to participation and benefit all by achieving equity, dignity and inclusion.</p>

<h3 id="accessible-parking">Accessible Parking</h3>
<p>During the Festival a number of road closures operate in the Tamworth CBD. There are a number of accessible parking locations close to the festival precinct. Please view the accessibility map (above) for the location of these carparks.</p>
<h3 id="accessible-toilet-locations">Accessible Toilet Locations</h3>
<p>There are a number of accessible toilets in the Tamworth CBD Festival precinct:</p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Changing Places Facility</strong> – This is located <strong>off Kable Ave</strong> inside the festival road closure.
<ul>
<li>Vehicles will be permitted into the festival road closure if they require access to the Changing Places facility.</li>
<li>Please see security at the road closure entry point and advise access.</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li><strong>Toyota Park</strong> – There are permanent toilets at Toyota Park (<strong>Bicentennial Park</strong>) near <strong>Kable Ave</strong>.</li>
<li><strong>Tamworth Regional Playground</strong> – An accessible toilet is located near <strong>Hopscotch Café</strong> adjacent to the playground.</li>
<li><strong>The Atrium Arcade </strong>shopping centre – Located on <strong>Peel Street</strong> inside the Festival road closure.</li>
<li><strong>Tamworth Square</strong> shopping centre – Located on <strong>Peel Street</strong> inside the Festival road closure.</li>
<li><strong>Centrepoint Tamworth</strong> shopping centre &#8211; Located on <strong>Peel Street</strong> inside the Festival road closure.</li>

<h4 id="changing-places-facility">Changing Places Facility</h4>
<p>People with disability and elderly will now have access to a certified Changing Places facility in the heart of Tamworth.</p>
<p>Designed to make visiting the CBD an easier and more enjoyable experience for disabled /elderly residents and their carers, the new facility provides a purpose-built toilet and change facility, including ceiling track hoist, adult change table, a shower as well as nearby parking bays and transport infrastructure to assist with the loading and unloading of wheelchairs.</p>
<p>The new facility’s location in Bicentennial Park near the No. 1 Cricket Oval, in close proximity to Peel Street shops, allowing residents to utilise the nearby pedestrian crossing before travelling through Fitzroy Plaza.</p>
<p>A MLAK or <strong>Master Locksmiths Association key</strong>, commonly used across the state for access to accessible infrastructure, will be required to access the new facility. <p>Offered by Uniting Local Area Coordination (LAC) and Tamworth Regional Council, this is a quiet space, where people of all abilities can come to have a break and reset before going back out to the festival.</p>

<p>Tamworth Regional Entertainment and Conference Centre (TRECC), Tamworth Town Hall and Capitol Theatre have designated accessible viewing areas for patrons to view concerts and performances.</p>

<h4 id="toyota-park"><strong>Toyota Park</strong></h4>
<p>A free concert is held in the Toyota Park from 7pm every night of the festival. The park is level and open plan with no seating provided. BYO chair. There is no designated accessible viewing area. There are two large screens each side of the stage offering good sightlines in all areas of the park.</p>

<h4 id="country-music-parade-saturday-25-january-9am">Country Music Parade &#8211; Saturday 25 January 9am</h4>
<p>A designated viewing area will be located on White Street, near the ANZ Bank car park, see <a href="https://content.tcmf.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/Parade-Route-Map-2025.pdf">Country Music Parade map</a> for detail.</p>
<p>A number of additional road closures will be in place for the parade so please allow extra time to park and get to the viewing location. There is accessible parking in White Street near Marius Street and in the Tamworth Square parking area, access from White or Fitzroy Street.</p>
