Thursday, 1 December 2016

Fairfax Rural Events, publishers of the Official Guide to the 45th Toyota Country Music Festival, Tamworth, are in the final stages of preparation before going to print with the gigantic festival publication. The Guide will ensure the surge of up to 50,000 country music fans that attend the festival each day over the 10-day period are well-equipped for the festival when January 20-29, 2017 rolls around.
Sponsored once again by Toyota through the support of Tamworth Regional Council, the Official Guide will be a bumper issue with 284 pages highlighting new events and featuring the official daily program for the highly acclaimed country music festival.
One of the most popular features of the Official Guide is the exclusive A to Z Artist Directory, which is the most comprehensive index enabling fans to track artists right across the city and surrounding satellite towns during the festival. The A-Z Artist Directory includes where the artists are appearing, times and dates, as well as artist photos and biographies. Not only does it list key artist information, the Official Guide also contains town and venue maps, bus routes and timetables, country music points of interests and helpful visitor information. Everything a festival goer needs to know during the festival!
Fairfax Rural Events group manager and publisher of the Official Guide, Kate Nugent said this year the daily program is showcasing 2,800 events and activities that will be staged throughout the festival including the countdown period (which starts seven days prior to the event). It features 700 artists and musicians who will be performing in over 100 venues.
"The Official Guide is the ultimate point of reference for visitors to the festival, and with the inclusion of the mobile app again in 2017, visitors will have the most up to date venue and artist information in the palm of their hand." Kate said.
In celebrating the 45th festival year, the Official Guide will feature historical facts and inside stories about the foundation events including the Country Music Awards of Australia (Golden Guitars), Opening Concert, Toyota Star Maker talent search, Hands of Fame, Roll of Renown, Toyota FanZone, Toyota Cavalcade, plus new music product releases and artist CD launches. These key events only scratch the surface of what you will discover in the Official Guide. You will also find insightful stories revolving around the country music industry and personal anecdotes from those who have participated in the festival from the beginning.
Once again, as a bonus offer, the Official Guide will include a FREE souvenir 20-track music CD courtesy of Country Music Capital News reflecting the 45th festival year. This highly prized, limited edition CD has fast become a collectors item among fans, and On The Road 8 will be no exception. It features a wide variety of talented artists who are playing the festival, and this FREE CD will resonate with listeners long after the last chord of the 2017 festival rings out.
