It’s a Muster Moment


Gypie Muster 2011The 2012 Optus Gympie Music Muster to set up Chapel for event allowing patrons to marry, renew vows or having a child naming day during the Festival period.

Romance is set for the Amamoor Creek State Forrest when the 2012 Optus Gympie Music Muster deliver’s 31st event in August complete with a custom built chapel and an on-hand celebrant to marry lovebirds, conduct child naming ceremonies or let muster fans renews their vows with an anticipated 60,000 patrons to select from as witnesses.

The custom built chapel will be installed at the event’s site for the duration of the festival with couples interested in sharing the love over the music festivities required to register their interest prior to the event. Registrations are available from Valentine’s Day, 14 February 2012 online at www.muster.com.au or by calling the Muster office 07 5482 2099

Bookings for the chapel will be on a first come, first serve basis with several nuptials and renewals expected to take place between the 23rd and 26th of August 2012.

Couples intending to marry must register with the Muster’s office by 1st July 2012 to ensure legal proceedings and documentation is adhered by. Those renewing their vows country style or wanting to book a child naming ceremony have until 21st July to register. All information and fees will be listed online at www.muster.com.au from Valentine’s Day, February 14th 2012. 

All registered couples will be presented with a Gift Pack containing CD’s as a wedding gift from the Gympie Music Muster and registered couples will go into the draw to have one of the 2012 Optus Gympie Music Muster headline artists perform at their ceremony as the bride walks down the aisle providing an unforgettable moment to cap off their Muster marriage. The winning couple will be announced on Wednesday 22nd August 2012.

Couples will say their “I do’s” in front of not only their guests but also in front of country music radio personality and registered celebrant NICK ERBY. Whilst the brides may opt out of wearing white due to the inability to keep their wedding gown clean, it’s expected cowboy boots, akubra’s and drizeabones will become standard wedding garb for happy couples at the Gympie Music Muster.

Bride and Grooms to be also don’t need to worry about catering, instead their guests can simply explore the delights on offer from Community Group food stalls, the Sirromet Wine Bar, the Sirromet VIP area or any of the jam packed entertainment venues that will operate for the duration of the 2012 Optus Gympie Music Muster. Getting hitched has never been so stress free!

With the Optus Gympie Music Muster a major part of so many country music fans’ lives, the chapel and opportunity to share the experience with other patrons is simply an added experience that patrons can choose to be a part of if they desire.

To ensure all services run smoothly and are presented properly as well as adhering the legal guidelines, registrations will not be available during the festival period with all services to be confirmed one month prior to the beginning of the 2012 Optus Gympie Music Muster. Event organisers will promote each service in their official program in hope of fellow patrons attending services and supporting couples at their ceremony.
