Peel Street - 9am
The 2010 Country Music Cavalcade will explore the theme “Country Music Carnavale”. Business organisations, community groups and equine groups are encouraged to start planning float designs that represents a country music party theme – we want float designs to be very colourful in 2010 with the essential components of live country music and country music stars.
The Country Music Cavalcade will get underway from the corner of Peel and Hill Streets at 9am on Saturday 23 January 2010. The cavalcade is a hallmark event of the festival which attracts national and international media coverage. More than 60 floats usually participate in the cavalcade and feature around 50 country music artists together with hundreds of float participants.
The 2010 Country Music Cavalcade Official Entry Kit has been updated this year, so please take the time to read the entry conditions and guides.
The entry fee for the 2010 Country Music Cavalcade is $125 inc-GST per entry for commercial, country music artist vehicles and non-commercial entries. If you are an approved charitable organisation with proof of status, entry is free. Entries will officially close at 5pm on Monday, 11 January 2010.
The 2010 Tamworth Country Music Cavalcade operates under strict guidelines and control measures for float entrants. All entrants should read the 2010 Cavalcade Risk Management Plan before lodging an entry. On the event day, emergency vehicles can access all intersections to Peel Street except for, Fitzroy Street between Kable Avenue and Marius Street – dial 000 in an emergency.
