The Toyota Country Music Festival Tamworth 2015 will see the return of a retail promotion by Tamworth Regional Council in conjunction with The Northern Daily Leader to encourage festival-goers to buy local, following the huge success of the promotion in 2014.
The “WIN $1/2K a Day” Festival Retail Promotion aims to generate local business spend and reward visitors for shopping locally during the 10 days of the Festival in January. Shoppers who spend $10 at participating retailers will go into the draw to win $500 cash each day. The promotion is free for retailers in the Tamworth CBD and surrounding areas, and saw more than 67 businesses participate this year.
Retail Promotion Coordinator Tenille Kerin said the initiative is a great opportunity for local businesses to benefit through increased retail spending during the Festival.
“The promotion enables the retail community to actively engage with Festival visitors at no charge. Shoppers who spend more than $10 in one transaction in participating retail outlets are eligible to go into the draw to win the fabulous cash prize of $500 per day”, said Ms Kerin.
Participating businesses will receive added exposure through the retail promotion’s marketing campaign across social media, online and visual marketing collateral throughout the CBD.
Shoppers will be encouraged to drop their entry into the barrel at the Toyota FANZONE, located in the Post Office Building, on the corner of Peel and Fitzroy Streets, for the chance to win the cash.
Interested CBD businesses have until 8 December to sign up, and by participating they will enter the draw to win a $5,000 Northern Daily Leader advertising package.
The Retail Promotion will run throughout the Toyota Country Music Festival Tamworth 2015 from Friday 16 January to Sunday 25 January. The “$1/2K a Day” Retail Promotion is proudly supported by The Northern Daily Leader.
The Toyota Country Music Festival Tamworth 2015 is proudly supported by the NSW Government through its tourism and major events agency Destination NSW.
