Festival feedback sought

The 2016 Toyota Country Music Festival, Tamworth has wrapped up for the year and now Festival organisers are seeking feedback from the community.

 

A public meeting will be held next Thursday 18 February at the Passchendaele Room, Tamworth Town Hall from 6.00pm to 8.00pm.

All members of the local community are invited to attend the public meeting armed with their views on what went well and what could be improved upon for the 2017 Festival.

 

The meeting provides an opportunity for local retailers, festival stakeholders and individuals to share their thoughts, experiences and suggestions.

 

Attendees will hear from Tamworth Region Mayor Col Murray, Destination Tamworth Director John Sommerlad and Festival Manager Barry Harley who will provide an overview of the 2016 Festival after which, attendees will have the opportunity to voice their feedback and ask questions about this year's Festival.

 

Festival Manager Barry Harley explained the importance of community feedback when planning for the next event.

“The 2016 Festival was deemed one of the most family friendly, positive and rewarding in many years by a majority of stakeholders including venue retailers and artists.

 

“This is the opportunity for the broader community to provide feedback, both positive and constructive, that can be included in the planning process for future Festivals.

 

“The Festival is the largest of its kind in the southern hemisphere and impacts in some way on every resident of the entire Tamworth region.

“The feedback that we can get from a meeting of this kind is priceless and allows us to continually improve the Festival experience for everyone involved.”
