Kenny Rogers, Grammy legend, Country superstar and contemporary music icon, will perform a special concert at the Toyota Country Music Festival Tamworth 2015 with his Through the Years World Tour concert, from 4pm on Sunday 25 January at the Tamworth Regional Entertainment and Conference Centre (TRECC).

This will be Kenny's second visit to the Country Music Capital and he is keen to return. He kicked off his sold out 2011 Australian tour in Tamworth and as soon as he arrived, launched his Change For Change initiative with a personal donation of $10,000 to support flood relief appeals.

Kenny found the Tamworth audiences enthusiastic in their appreciation for his music and generous in their contributions to the disaster relief.

He has since been honoured with an induction into the American Country Music Hall of Fame (and upcoming biographical Museum exhibition until June 2015) and the Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award - his sixth Country Music Association Award.

Other prestigious accolades include three Grammy Awards, eighteen American Music Awards, eight Academy of Country Music Awards and sales of more than one hundred and twenty million - one Diamond, twenty Platinum and thirty two Gold albums, making him one of the Top Ten Best Selling Artists of All Time.

Festival Manager Gavin Flanagan says “It's fantastic to have an artist of Kenny's calibre come back to our Festival. Kenny is an absolute legend and we can't wait to see him perform at TRECC in January.” Tickets for Kenny Rogers Through the Years World Tour at TRECC on Sunday 25 January are on sale from Friday 1 August through the TCMF website and 02 6767 5300. Please book early to avoid disappointment.

The Toyota Country Music Festival Tamworth 2015 will be held from Friday 16 to Sunday 25 January. It is the largest music event in the Southern Hemisphere, with over 800 artists performing in 4,000 shows across ten days.
